The Dr. Constantin Rădulescu Stadium ( Romanian Stadionul Dr. Constantin Rădulescu ) is a football stadium in the Romanian city of Cluj-Napoca and is the home ground of the CFR Cluj football club .
It is named after Constantin "Costel" Rădulescu , who coached the Romanian national team from 1923 to 1938 and also looked after it during the 1930 World Cup .
history
It was opened in 1973, had a capacity of 10,000 spectators in 1997 and was renovated in 2008 due to Cluj's Champions League qualification , which now seats 23,500 spectators.
The Romanian national team played for the first time on September 9, 2008 in a qualifying game for the 2010 World Cup against Lithuania in the Dr. Constantin Rădulescu Stadium (0: 3).
