Liviu Ion Antal (born June 2, 1989 in Șimleu Silvaniei ) is a Romanian midfielder . He has been under contract with FK Žalgiris Vilnius since June 2017 .

Career

In 2007 Antal left his hometown club LPS Bihorul Oradea and moved to CS Concordia Chiajna in Liga 2 . A year later, it took him to league rivals FCM Târgu Mureş , with whom he narrowly missed promotion to League 1 as third-placed behind Unirea Alba Iulia and Internațional Curtea de Argeş at the end of the 2008/09 season .

In the summer of 2009, Dorinel Munteanu brought Antal to Oțelul Galați in the House of Lords. In Galați he was able to fight for a regular place in the team at the start of the season. At the end of the 2010/11 season he won the Romanian championship with his team and started in the Champions League in the 2011/12 season . In the summer of 2012 he joined the league rivals FC Vaslui . In the 2013/14 season he scored 15 goals in 31 appearances and thus achieved the best goal yield of his career. Then Gençlerbirliği Ankara brought him to the Turkish Süper Lig .

In spring 2015 Antal moved to Beitar Jerusalem on loan . After his return, Hapoel Tel Aviv signed him in August 2015 . At the end of January 2016 he was loaned to Pandurii Târgu Jiu until the end of the season. In August 2016, another loan deal was agreed with Pandurii. After the loan ended, CFR Cluj signed him in February 2017 .

National team

In June 2011 national coach Răzvan Lucescu Antal appointed to the Romanian national team . Under Lucescu's successor Ștefan Iovan , he made his debut on June 11, 2011 in the friendly against Paraguay when he came on in the 84th minute for Gabriel Torje .
