history
Doxa (translated "fame") was founded in 1954. For the first time he was promoted to the Cypriot first division in 1998, but as the penultimate they were relegated again. After the recovery in 2000, they reached eleventh place and were able to hold in the top division. Until 2007 there were repeated promotion and relegation, with only one win in 26 games in the 2003/04 season. In 2007 they were promoted again, since then they have belonged to the first division - with an interruption in the 2011/12 season. Since then, they have played their home games in the Makario Stadium in Nicosia and not in the Peristerona Stadium at home. The team has been coached by Loukas Hadjiloukas since November 2012, who made 26 international matches for the Republic of Cyprus in the 1990s.
