The GSZ Stadium ( Greek Γυμναστικός Σύλλογος Ζήνων ; Γ.Σ.Ζ., Greek ɣasiˈzi ) is a multifunctional stadium opened in 1983 in Larnaka , Larnaka District , Cyprus which is often used for football matches. It is mostly referred to as the Neo GSZ Stadium to distinguish it from the old GSZ Stadium built in 1928 , which it had replaced. It offers a total of 13,032 spectators and is currently used by the Alki Oroklini football club , which plays in the Cypriot second division . Its owner and operator is the "O Zenon" Gymnastics Association , which derives its name from the ancient philosopher Zenon von Kition .

The inauguration game took place in April 1982 as a friendly between Pezoporikos Larnaka FC and EPA Larnaca . Due to the lack of infrastructure at that time, the first official game followed on February 19, 1983 with a 0-0 between Pezorpikos and Olympiakos .

In addition, Pezoporikos Larnaka and EPA Larnaka have been using it since 1983 and from 1994 to 2016 as the merged AEK Larnaka . Since then, the respective club has changed steadily, from 2017 to 2018 it was initially Ermis Aradippou , from 2018 to 2019 then ASIL Lysi and since 2019 Alki Oroklini. The stadium is not approved by UEFA for matches in the Champions League due to the insufficient capacity .

In 2006 it hosted the final of the Cypriot Football Cup between APOEL Nicosia and AEK Larnaka , when APOEL won 3-2. The biggest event in the GSZ Stadium was the final of the U-18 European Football Championship 1998 between Ireland and Germany , which ended 1-1. Ireland beat Germany 4-3 on penalties . On the same day the match for third place took place in the stadium, in which Portugal beat Croatia 5-4 on penalties.
