The 28th international tennis tournament in Zinnowitz took place from June 27th to July 4th 1982 in the Baltic resort of Zinnowitz . Because of the persistently bad weather, some games were also held in Ahlbeck . The start of the tournament was brought forward to Sunday.

Poland won the Men's Cup of Nations with Henryk Drzymalski and Witold Meres . Drzymalski then also won the men's singles. The men's doubles went to the Hungarians Gábor Lukács and István Tarján , who won the final against Thomas Arnold and Thomas Emmrich . Czechoslovakia won the Women's Cup of Nations with Nora Bajčíková and Anetta Bukovinská , who also won the women's doubles. The women's singles went to Małgorzata Żydek from Poland .
