The 31st Zinnowitz International Tennis Tournament took place from June 30th to July 7th, 1985 in the Baltic Sea resort of Zinnowitz .

The GDR with Thomas Emmrich and Ralf Lichtenfeld won the men's cup of nations again . The two also defended their title in men's doubles. The men's singles were won by the Czechoslovak Martin Fassati in the final against Emmrich. Gunter Wehnert reached the semi-finals . Czechoslovakia won the Women's Nations Cup with Dominika Perutková and Kamila Politzerová . The title in the women's singles was won by the Hungarian Anna Németh , who was also successful in the women's doubles with her compatriot Judit Budai in the final against Grit Schneider and Christine Schulz . Schulz reached the semi-finals in the singles.
