The 34th Zinnowitz International Tennis Tournament took place from June 26th to July 3rd, 1988 in the Baltic resort of Zinnowitz .

Czechoslovakia won the Men's Cup of Nations with Tomáš Klimek and Marek Miskolci . The men's singles were won for the eleventh time by Thomas Emmrich , who together with Ralf Lichtenfeld also won the men's doubles. In the individual, Gunter Wehnert also reached the semi-finals. The Women's Nations Cup was won by the Soviet Union with Natalja Rewa and Julija Salnikowa , who also won the women's singles. The women's doubles were won by the Czechoslovak women Eva Melicharová and Denisa Silvanová . In the individual, Grit Schneider reached the semi-finals.
