The 33rd international tennis tournament in Zinnowitz took place from June 28th to July 5th 1987 in the Baltic resort of Zinnowitz .

The GDR won the men's Cup of Nations with Thomas Emmrich , Ralf Lichtenfeld and Dietrich Schirmann . The men's singles were won by Russian Dmitri Lomanow in the final against Gunter Wehnert . Dietrich Schirmann reached the semifinals. Thomas Emmrich and Ralf Lichtenfeld were successful in men's doubles. Bulgaria won the Women's Nations Cup with Raliza Miloriewa and Dora S. Rangelowa . In the women's singles, the Hungarian Éva Rózsavölgyi won for the fourth time . The women's doubles went to the two Czechoslovakians Zuzana Bódayová and Denisa Silvanová .
