The Larnaka District is a district of the Republic of Cyprus . The capital is the city of Larnaka . The district has a port and the island's main airport, Larnaca Airport . The Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque is also located in the district .

Part of the Larnaka District is under the control of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and belongs to its Lefkoşa District .
