Tremetousia ( Greek Τρεμετουσιά , Turkish Erdemli or Tremeşe ) is a place in the Lefkoşa district of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus or de jure in the Larnaka district of the Republic of Cyprus . At the last official census in 2011, the place had 169 inhabitants.

Tremetousia is located in the southeast of the island of Cyprus at an altitude of 100 meters, about 22 km southeast of the capital Nicosia , 16 km north of Larnaka and 29 km west of Famagusta .
The place is located about 14 km from the Mediterranean Sea on the Bay of Larnaka in the island's interior. It is located about 3.5 kilometers north of the buffer zone to the southern part.
Places in the vicinity are Melouseia in the west, Arsos in the east, and the closest place to Cyprus within the Troulloi buffer zone in the south.
Population development
Tremetousia has been a mixed village of Cypriot Greeks and Cypriot Turks since the first census in 1831 during the Ottoman period . During the occupation of the northern part by Turkish troops in 1974, the inhabitants of Greek origin fled and have since lived spread out over the southern half of the island.
