Vavatsinia is located in the middle of the island of Cyprus at an altitude of 848 meters on the southeastern edge of the Troodos Mountains , about 34 km southwest of the capital Nicosia , 35 km west of Larnaka and 28 km northeast of Limassol . It is only accessible by winding roads from both the east and west.

Places in the area are Agioi Vavatsinias in the west, Pano Lefkara , Kato Lefkara , Kato Drys and Vavla in the southeast, Lageia in the south and Ora in the southwest.
