Ormidia (also transcribed as Ormideia , Greek Ορμήδεια ) is a place in the Larnaka district in Cyprus . At the last official census in 2011, the place had 4189 inhabitants.

Ormidia is located in the southeast of the island of Cyprus at an altitude of 20 meters, about 42 km southeast of the capital Nicosia , 14 km northeast of Larnaka and 20 km west of Agia Napa .

The place is about 1 km from the Mediterranean Sea in the coastal hinterland. Ormideia forms a Cypriot exclave in the British military area of Dhekelia , by which it is completely surrounded. Only the area of ​​the actual place is counted as part of Cyprus, although the municipal area also includes parts of the military area. The place is on the Autobahn 3 and the B3 , both of which come from Larnaka.

Places in the vicinity are Dasaki Achnas in the north, Avgorou in the northeast, Xylofagou in the east and Xylotymbou as another exclave in the military area in the west.
