Dasaki Achnas ( Greek Δασάκι Αχνας ) is a village on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus in the Famagusta district of the Republic of Cyprus . The place is not far from the old village Achna / Düzce , after Dasaki Achna was named. Dasaki Achna is located in the British military base Dhekelia .
history
In 1974 the village of the same name Achna , after the conclusion of the armistice in the second phase of Operation Atilla , was still occupied by Turkish troops . The residents were able to flee to the nearby forest of Achna (Δασάκι της Άχνας, Dasaki tis Achnas), where they set up a makeshift tent city, the Achna Refugee Camp.
Later the new Dasaki Achnas village was built within sight of the old one, which is now uninhabited across the Green Line. In 2006, a reception camp was built in Dasaki Achnas to accommodate Lebanese refugees during the Lebanon War . It has about 2000 inhabitants.

The place is known for the football club Ethnikos Achnas .
