Church at Frenaros

Frenaros (also Phrenaros , Greek Φρέναρος ) is a village community in the district of Famagusta in southeastern Cyprus .

The place has 4298 inhabitants (status: 2011) and is one of the Kokkinohoria ( "red villages" , based on the agriculturally valuable red earth). The main church of the village is the Archangelos Michail Church . The third-rate football club Frenaros FC 2000 comes from the town.

Neighboring communities are Deryneia in the northeast, Sotira in the southeast, Liopetri in the southwest, Avgorou in the west and Vrysoules and the British garrison Agios Nikolaos in the northwest.
