Kalavasos

Kalavasos is a place in the Republic of Cyprus with a historical background that dates back to at least the late Bronze Age , i.e. 1200 BC. Goes back to BC. Neighboring places are Tochni in the east and Mari in the south.

history

According to the latest findings from ancient correspondence, Kalavasos seems to be the only remaining alternative to Alašija when it comes to the question of what the late Bronze Age capital of Cyprus was. The archaeological area of Kalavasos-Ayios Dhimitrios is decisive for the associated research .

Modern times

Kalavasos is a small village with a hotel , church , mosque , bank and several restaurants. There is also a museum. A school with basic and advanced levels is part of the infrastructure for supplying its own population.
