Aplanta ( Greek Απλάντα , Turkish Aplanda ) is a place in the Larnaka district in Cyprus . At the last official census in 2011, the place had 6 inhabitants.

Aplanta is located in the south of the island of Cyprus at an altitude of 106 meters, about 39 km south of the capital Nicosia , 16 km southwest of Larnaka and 42 km northeast of Limassol .
The place is located in the hilly coastal hinterland, about 5 km from the Mediterranean Sea. The Autobahn 1 and the B1 run about 3 km to the north , behind them are the eastern foothills of the Troodos Mountains . Except for a few houses that make up the small village, the area of the municipality consists almost entirely of agricultural land.
Places in the vicinity are Anglisides and Alethriko in the north, Kivisili and Softades in the east, Mazotos in the south and Anafotia and Alaminos in the west.
Population development
Until 1960 the inhabitants of Aplanta consisted almost entirely of Cypriot Turks . After the clashes in 1963 , almost the entire population fled to Kivisili, which was also influenced by Turkey, and after the Cyprus conflict in 1974 to Limnia in the northern part of the island. It was not until 2011 that 6 residents were counted again, all of them men.
