Antonio Núñez Tena (born January 15, 1979 in Madrid ) is a Spanish football player who is under contract with Recreativo Huelva .

Career

Antonio Núñez began his football career with the relatively unknown Spanish clubs CD San ​​Federico and CD Las Rosas. There he drew the attention of Real Madrid's second team , to which he moved in 2001. After two years he was appointed to the first team of the "Royal", but where he could not assert himself and left the club after a year. He was drawn to the big English club Liverpool for the 2003/04 season , where he was initially thrown back from a serious knee injury and was absent for almost three months. Nonetheless, he scored a goal in the League Cup final against Chelsea FC 3-2 and won the UEFA Champions League as a substitute for Liverpool . In 2005 he moved to the then Spanish promoted team Celta Vigo , with whom he was relegated from the first division in 2007.

After a mixed year, the midfielder moved to first division relegated Real Murcia in the summer of 2008 .
