Sofronis Avgousti (born March 9, 1977 in Limassol ) is a former Cypriot football player and current coach.

Career

Avgousti has played for Apollon Limassol since he was a youngster , where he was a regular goalkeeper. After nine successful years he moved to AEK Larnaka , where he played for two years. He then went back to Apollon Limassol, where he was hardly used and moved to Aris Limassol for the 2009/10 season. Half a year later he went to APOEL Nicosia , where he left the club in the summer without a job. Until his retirement in 2013 he played again for Apollon Limassol.

National team

From 2004 to 2010 he played eleven international matches for the Cyprus national team.

Trainer

From 2013 to 2016 Avgousti was assistant coach of Apollon Limassol and since then head coach of the club.
