The Kazakh national football team is the national team of the Central Asian state of Kazakhstan . The football association is the Qasaqstannyng Futbol Federazijassy . Kazakhstan was a member of the AFC from 1992 to 2002 , then switched to UEFA . The team is currently ranked 121st in the FIFA World Ranking as of October 24, 2019.

history

The team played their first official international match against Turkmenistan in 1992 , before the country was part of the Soviet Union. The first official FIFA international match was played by Kazakhstan on June 14, 1996 as part of qualifying for the 1996 Asian Cup against Qatar and won 1-0. However, Kazakhstan has never been able to qualify for the finals of a World Cup or European Championship or Asian Cup. In the Football West Asian Championship in 2000 Kazakhstan participated as a visiting team.

The Kazakh national team tried from the start to attract German players who had Kazakh roots. A search was made at German associations for Germans from Russia or their descendants who were deported to Kazakhstan during the Soviet Union . So far there are six Germans who have shown up for Kazakhstan.

So far, the team has not played any games against Liechtenstein, Luxembourg and Switzerland. In the qualification for the EM 2012 there were the first games against Germany and Austria.
