Alderney football selection

The Alderney Football Picks are a selection of the best football players from the Channel Island of Alderney . It is not recognized as an official member by either UEFA or FIFA. Consequently, Alderney's selection does not play in their competitions, but usually plays against other non-members and in the Muratti Cup between the Channel Islands teams . In the Muratti Cup, played since 1905, Alderney always plays first at home against either Guernsey and Jersey . Then the winner plays against the remaining island team. Alderney won the cup only in 1920.

The current coach (as of 2015) is Alan Adamson, home games are played at the Arsenal Ground (Mount Hale). The only victories in the selection were a 1-0 win against Guernsey (April 29, 1920) and against the Saaremaa selection (July 4, 2003), the largest defeat the selection experienced on March 19, 1994 at the away game on Jersey (18 - 0).
