Sergei Maly ( Ukrainian Сергій Вікторович Малий Serhiy Wiktorowytsch Maly , Kazakh Сергей Викторович Малый * 5. June 1990 in Luhansk , Ukrainian SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Kazakh football player of Ukrainian origin. He has been playing for FK Astana in the Premjer League , the highest Kazakh division , since 2016 .

Career

Sergei Malyj started playing football in his hometown of Luhansk at LVUFK Luhansk. After graduating from school, he began his career as a professional player at the Ukrainian club FC Komunalnyk Luhansk , which was only founded in 2007 and was dissolved the following year. In the 2007/08 season Malyj was awarded by his club to FC Ros Bila Tserkva , for which he completed eight games and scored one goal.

After the end of his club, he moved to the Ukrainian first division club Zorya Luhansk . He made his debut in the Premjer-Liha on December 5, 2009 against league rivals Arsenal Kiev , when he came on in the 89th minute. From 2010 onwards Malyj was under contract with the second division Arsenal FC Bila Zerkwa in the Perscha Liha .

From 2013 to 2014 he was in the squad of the Kazakh champions Shakhtar Karagandy . He has been under contract with Ordabassy Schymkent since 2015 .
