Michal Bílek (born April 13, 1965 in Prague ) is a former Czech football player and current coach .
Player career
Michal Bílek started playing football at Sparta Prague . From the 1982/83 season he was used in the first team. During the 1983/84 season he moved to RH Cheb to do his military service there. In early 1986 he returned to Sparta and established himself there as a regular player. After ten goals in 26 games in the 1989/90 season he was signed by the Spanish first division club Betis Sevilla . Betis was relegated bottom of the table, Bílek stayed for another year. In 1992/93 he played again for Sparta, but moved to Viktoria Žižkov after only one year . There he was able to build on his old form in four seasons and switched back to Sparta in 1997, but stayed only a short time. For the 1997/98 season Bílek went to FK Teplice , where he was a regular player and scored eleven goals in 76 games by 2000. The 2000/01 season began the now 35-year-old Bílek in the 7th division with the Prague club Háje Jižní Město, but had to end his career after a few months due to a serious knee injury .
National team
Michal Bílek made his debut in the Czechoslovak national team on October 27, 1987 in a 3-1 win against Poland in Bratislava . In 1990 he took part in the World Cup in Italy . His 35th and last international match, already for the national team of the Czech Republic , completed Bílek on March 29, 1995 against Belarus in Ostrava .

Coaching career
His coaching career began Bílek in the 2000/01 season, when he took over the team of FK Teplice for the dismissed Petr Rada on the 20th matchday . In 2001/02 he trained CS Cartaginés in Costa Rica . In 2002/03 he was the coach of the Czech U-19 team. From 2003 to 2006 Bílek Chmel Blšany trained . From July to September 2006 Bílek was the coach of FC Viktoria Plzen . From September 2006 to May 2008 Bílek Sparta trained in Prague.
In the 2008/09 season Bílek coached the Slovak first division club MFK Ružomberok . In July 2009 he became assistant coach of the Czech national team. In October 2009 he became the coach of the Czech national team after Ivan Hašek retired from the coaching position to devote himself exclusively to the role of association president. On September 11, 2013, he resigned as national coach due to the missed qualification for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil .
