Dmitri Andrejewitsch Schomko ( Russian Дмитрий Андреевич Шомко ; born March 19, 1990 in Ekibastus , Kazakh SSR , Soviet Union ) is a Kazakh football player . He has been playing for FK Astana since 2014 in the Premjer League , the highest Kazakh division.

Beginnings in Ekibastus

Shomko began his professional career in 2005 with the Kazakh second division club Batyr Ekibastus. Here he came on four appearances in the 2005 season and in the following season he was nine times for Batyr on the field. For the 2007 season he was loaned to the first division club FK Ekibastusez , who played in the super league. He made his debut on matchday 12, June 16, 2007, in the 3-2 away defeat against Qaisar Qysylorda . In total, he completed three games for Ekibastusez. At the end of the season, the club had to be relegated to the first division as a penalty for match manipulation . In the 2008 season Shomko played for Energetik-2 Ekibastus , where he played six games.

Ertis Pavlodar

At the beginning of the 2008 season he moved to Ertis Pavlodar , where he qualified with the club by third place for the international competition. The defender made his debut at European club level on July 2, 2009 against the Hungarian representative Haladás Szombathely , when he was substituted in the 48th minute. In 2011 he was loaned to Lokomotive Astana with whom he won the Kazakh Supercup. After returning to Pavlodar, he reached the final of the Kazakh Cup in 2012.

National team

On March 29, 2009 Shomko made his debut for a Kazakh national selection. In the game against Israel he made his first appearance for the Kazakh U-21 national team over 90 minutes. His first and only goal for the U-21 selection he scored on November 15, 2009 in the 5-1 defeat against Sweden . He played a total of 15 games between 2009 and 2012.

Dmitri Shomko played his first international match for the Kazakh national football team against Belarus on February 9, 2011 , when he came on as a substitute for Asat Nurghaliyev in the 85th minute shortly before the end of the game . He scored his first goal in the national jersey in a friendly against Bulgaria on June 4, 2013. In qualifying for the 2014 World Cup , he was part of the Kazakh squad in five games. He was able to score his second goal for the national team against Ireland on October 13, 2013. With just one win and seven losses in ten games, Kazakhstan failed to qualify for the tournament. In qualifying for the European Football Championship in 2016 , for which Kazakhstan did not qualify, Shomko was a regular in seven games on the Kazakh national team. In qualifying for the 2018 World Cup , he played eight games; as the bottom of the group he clearly missed the tournament with the national team.
