Ruslan Tachirowitsch Baltijew ( Russian Руслан Тахирович Балтиев ; Kazakh Рұслан Балтиев; born September 16, 1978 in Alma-Ata ) is a former Kazakh football player .

Career

Ruslan Baltijew comes from a Uighur family. He began his professional career at Kairat Almaty , in the top division of Kazakhstan. After three seasons he moved to Access Petropavl , where he was relegated in his second season with the club. Nevertheless, in 2003 he moved to the then Russian first division club Sokol Saratow . After strong performances, he was sold to FK Dynamo Moscow in 2004 . After stints at FK Moscow and Schinnik Yaroslavl , he returned home to Kazakhstan to Tobol Qostanai in the Premjer League . In 2007 he won the Kazakh Cup with the club and scored 3 goals in six games at the 2007 UEFA Intertoto Cup . In 2010 he was committed by the Russian second division club Schemchuschina Sochi .

National team

Ruslan Baltijew is the record player in his country with 71 appearances. On September 9, 2009, he scored a goal in his team's 3-1 win against Andorra. Now, with thirteen goals, he is also the record scorer in his country.
