Delnice [ ˈdɛːlnitsɛ ] is a town and municipality in Croatia .

Location and inhabitants

Delnice is located in the mountainous part of the historical Gorski kotar region in the Primorje-Gorski kotar County east of Rijeka . According to the 2011 census, the population is 5,952 for the entire municipality. The municipality of Delnice consists of 55 villages and hamlets. The city of Delnice alone has 4,379 inhabitants. The town is about 50 minutes by motorway from the coast and is located in the mountainous climate zone, which is much cooler in summer. There are numerous hiking trails in the vicinity of Delnice. The Delnice ski jumps are located in Delnice .
