Brod Moravice (Italian: Moravizza ) is a municipality in Croatia in the Primorje-Gorski kotar County .

Location and inhabitants

Brod Moravice is located on the Slovenian border on the Kupa and Dobra rivers in the western part of the Gorski kotar . The municipality is located 120 km from Zagreb and 75 km from Rijeka .

The municipality consists of 38 villages and hamlets and has 866 inhabitants, 358 of whom live in Brod Moravice alone (2011 census).

history

Brod Moravice was first mentioned in 1260. In terms of population, it is the smallest and oldest municipality in the region. The municipality is rich in church buildings. The parish Brodmoravička was founded in the 14th century.
