Bourgoin-Jallieu is a French town in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . The inhabitants call themselves Berjalliens .
geography
The city with 28,387 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2017) is located in the plain between Lyon in the north-west (50 km) and Grenoble in the south-east (64 km) in the valley of the Bourbre river . The airport Lyon-Saint-Exupery you drive 29 km.
economy
After the textile and chemical industry, which was oriented towards Lyon, ceased to exist in the wake of globalization, the city succeeded in attracting promising industries.
