Dolomieu is a French commune with 3,167 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Dolomieu part of the district of La Tour-du-Pin and Canton La Tour-du-Pin . The inhabitants are called the Dolomois .
geography
Dolomieu is about 45 kilometers east-southeast of Lyon . Dolomieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vézeronce-Curtin in the north, Veyrins-Thuellin in the northeast, Corbelin in the east, Faverges-de-la-Tour in the south and southeast, La Chapelle-de-la-Tour in the south and southwest, and Saint-Jean -de-Soudain in the south-west, Vignieu in the west and north-west and Vasselin and Saint-Sorlin-de-Morestel in the north-west.
