Parmilieu is a French municipality with 709 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the arrondissement of La Tour-du-Pin and is part of the canton of Morestel (until 2015: canton of Crémieu ). The inhabitants are called Parmiliolands .

Parmilieu is about 41 kilometers east-northeast of Lyon . Parmilieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Vertrieu in the north and northeast, Porcieu-Amblagnieu in the east, Charette in the south, Saint-Baudille-de-la-Tour in the southwest and La Balme-les-Grottes in the west.
