Veyssilieu is located about 35 kilometers east-southeast of Lyon . Veyssilieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Chozeau in the north and northwest, Moras in the east, Saint-Marcel-Bel-Accueil in the south and southeast, Frontonas in the southwest and Panossas in the west.
