Apprieu is a French municipality with 3313 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes ; it belongs to the arrondissement of La Tour-du-Pin and the canton of Le Grand-Lemps . The inhabitants are called Apprelans .

geography

Apprieu is located about 50 kilometers southeast of Lyon . The river Fure limits the community to the east. Apprieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Oyeu in the north, Charavines in the northeast, Chirens in the east, Saint-Blaise-du-Buis in the south, Rives in the southwest and Colombe in the west.

The A48 autoroute runs along the western municipal boundary .
