Tignieu-Jameyzieu is about 25 km east of Lyon . The Bourbre runs along the western edge of the municipality. Tignieu-Jameyzieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Romain-de-Jalionas in the north and north-east, Villemorieu in the east, Chamagnieu in the south, Colombier-Saugnieu in the south-west, Charvieu-Chavagneux and Pont-de-Chéruy in the west and Chavanoz in the north-west.
