Dizimieu is about 36 kilometers east-southeast of Lyon . Dizimieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Crémieu in the north and northwest, Siccieu-Saint-Julien-et-Carisieu in the north and east, Trept in the south and southeast, Saint-Hilaire-de-Brens in the south, Moras in the southwest and Villemoirieu in the west.
