Les Abrets en Dauphiné is located about 64 kilometers east-southeast of Lyon and has the following neighboring communities:
Chimilin and Romagnieu in the north, Belmont-Tramonet ( Savoie department ) in the northeast, Pressins and Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin in the east, Saint-Sulpice-des-Rivoires and Velanne in the southeast, Villages du Lac de Paladru and Montferrat in the south, Saint -Ondras and Charancieu in the southwest, Saint-André-le-Gaz in the west and La Bâtie-Montgascon in the northwest
The former Routes nationales 6 (today's D1006) and 75 (today's D1075) lead through the municipality .
history
On January 1, 2016, the previously independent municipalities of Les Abrets , La Bâtie-Divisin and Fitilieu were merged to form the Commune nouvelle Les Abrets en Dauphiné.
