Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin (even shorter in the parlance Pont-de-Beauvoisin called) is a French municipality with 3630 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It belongs to the Arrondissement of La Tour-du-Pin and the Canton of Chartreuse-Guiers .
geography
The municipality is located on the left (western) bank of the Guiers River , which forms the border between the Isère and Savoie departments . It is connected by a bridge to the eponymous municipality of Le Pont-de-Beauvoisin in the neighboring department of Savoie.
