Bouvesse-Quirieu is located about 45 kilometers east-northeast of Lyon on the Rhone . Bouvesse-Quirieu is surrounded by the neighboring municipalities of Montalieu-Vercieu in the north, Serrières-de-Briord in the north-east, Montagnieu in the east, Briord in the south-east, Creys-Mépieu in the south and south-east, Courtenay in the south and south-west and Charette in the west and north-west.
