It was founded on November 1, 2016 and comprises 47 parishes. The administrative headquarters are in Saint-Chef .

Historical development

The community association was created with effect from January 1, 2017 through the merger of the predecessor organizations Communauté de communes Les Balmes Dauphinoises , Communauté de communes de l'Isle-Crémieu and Communauté de communes du Pays des Couleurs .
