La Tour-du-Pin is a French town with 8080 inhabitants (at January 1, 2017) in the valley of the river Bourbre in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . It is located between Lyon , Chambéry and Grenoble on the A43 Autoroute (Lyon-Chambéry) and on the railway line that connects these cities. The city is the seat of the sub-prefecture of the arrondissement of the same name and the capital of the canton of the same name.

House La Tour-du-Pin
La Tour-du-Pin is the ancestral home of the La Tour-du-Pin family , who were the Dauphins of Viennois in the first half of the 14th century (and should not be confused with the La Tour d'Auvergne family ).
