Massieu is a French municipality with 747 inhabitants (as of January 1 2017) in the department of Isère in the region Auvergne Rhône-Alpes . Massieu belongs to the arrondissement of La Tour-du-Pin and the canton of Le Grand-Lemps (until 2015: canton of Saint-Geoire-en-Valdaine ). The inhabitants are called Biolois .

Massieu is about 29 kilometers north-north-west of Grenoble . Massieu is surrounded by the neighboring communities of Saint-Sulpice-des-Rivoires in the north, Saint-Geoire-en-Valdaine in the east and north-east, Merlas in the east and south-east, Saint-Nicolas-de-Macherin in the south, Chirens in the west and south-west as well Bilieu to the west and northwest.
