Adama "Noss" Traoré (born June 28, 1995 in Bamako ) is a Malian football player . He has been under contract with AS Monaco from Ligue 1 since summer 2015 .
Club career
Traoré was trained in the football academy of Jean-Marc Guillou in his native Bamako . In early 2013, Lille OSC made the then 17-year-old an offer. But Traoré decided to stay in Mali for the time being and joined AS Bakaridjan . In January 2014 there was a transfer to the Great Danes . The left foot was loaned to the partner club Royal Mouscron-Péruwelz in the second Belgian league shortly after the contract was signed.
There the Malian was only used sporadically and returned to Lille in the summer. There he was able to impose himself in training and so Traoré made his debut on matchday 7 of Ligue 1 when he was substituted on by coach René Girard in the game against OGC Nice in the final phase for Nolan Roux . The teenager was quickly able to establish himself in the team and had played 20 games by the end of the season. He scored his first goal in the 1-0 win in the catch-up game against FC Évian Thonon Gaillard on January 7, 2015. During the season, his contract was extended to summer 2019, but AS Monaco signed him in July 2015 for a transfer fee of 14 million euros.
This was followed by loans to Rio Ave FC , Cercle Bruges and currently he plays for FC Metz .
National team
Traoré took part with the Malian U-20 team in both the African Championships and the World Championships in 2013 and 2015. After he was only used sporadically in 2013 as a 17-year-old , Traoré led the team onto the field as captain two years later. At the U-20 World Cup in 2015 , Mali reached third place and eliminated Germany, among others, during the tournament . Traoré was the top scorer of his team with four goals and, like Lionel Messi , Sergio Agüero , Paul Pogba or his compatriot Seydou Keita in previous events, was named the best player in the World Cup.
He made his senior national team debut on March 25, 2015 when he came on as a substitute in the 4-3 defeat by Gabon at the Stade Pierre Brisson .
