Djibril Sidibé (born July 29, 1992 in Troyes ) is a French football player . The right defender is under contract with AS Monaco . In 2018 he became world champion with the French national team in Russia .

Sidibé's family comes from Mali . He grew up in Troyes with three sisters and two brothers. Sidibé is a Muslim .
Career
societies
Sidibé began his career in 2000 in the youth division of ES Troyes AC . For his first team, he made his debut on March 19, 2010 at the age of 17 in the 1-1 draw against AS Moulins in the third-tier national . After being promoted at the end of the season, Sidibé was used six times in Ligue 2 in the 2010/11 season and managed to stay up with the team. In the 2011/12 season he developed into a regular player in Troyes and rose with the team as third in the table in Ligue 1 .
For the 2012/13 season , Sidibé moved to Lille OSC . In his first division debut on August 25, 2012 in the away game on matchday three against OGC Nice , he scored his first goal in Ligue 1 with a 2-2 final score. In his first season in the top French division, he made 14 league appearances also to 3 games in the Champions League . He scored a goal on November 20, 2012 in a 2-0 away win against BATE Baryssau . In the group stage of the Champions League, the northern French were eliminated as the bottom of the group, in the league the OSC Lille oscillated between a midfield position and the top third of the table and finished fifth at the end of the season. In the following season Sidibé completed six more missions, but was not always seeded. This time the OSC Lille, which was mostly third from the eleventh matchday after initial difficulties, qualified for the third qualifying round for the premier class and prevailed there against Grasshopper Club Zurich , but was eliminated in the play-offs against FC Porto . In the league Sidibé shuttled between regular place and substitute bench and could not build on the successful previous season; at the end of the season, the Lille OSC took eighth place. His fourth and final season in northern France meant his breakthrough and he was used in 37 games, with 3 assists and 4 goals scored himself. During this season, Lille OSC played against relegation and finished sixth at the end of the season.
For the 2016/17 season , Sidibé moved to league rivals AS Monaco , with whom he signed a five-year contract. In the Principality of Monaco , Sidibé fought for a regular place and contributed to winning the championship with 6 assists and 2 goals he scored himself. In addition, AS Monaco reached the quarter-finals of the Champions League, in which the Monegasque were eliminated by Juventus Turin . Internationally, the club from the Principality could not build on the successes from the previous season and so they were eliminated from the group stage in the premier class in the new season as bottom group. Sidibé still remained a regular player and contributed to winning the runner-up with 8 assists and 2 goals. The following season did not go well and AS Monaco played against relegation, at the end of the day they secured relegation with 17th place. Sidibé was without a goal, but was able to prepare 3 goals. He spent the 2019/20 season on loan at Everton FC .
National team
Sidibé played ten times for the French U20 national team from November 2011 to June 2013 . On October 10, 2013, he was used once for the U21 team in the 4-1 win against Armenia .
On September 1, 2016, Sidibé made his debut in a 3-1 win in the friendly against Italy in the senior national team . In May 2018 he was appointed to the French squad for the 2018 World Cup in Russia . Sidibé was used once in the tournament and became world champion with his team after a 4-2 final victory over Croatia .
