Presnel Kimpembe (born August 13, 1995 in Beaumont-sur-Oise ) is a French - Congolese football player . The central defender is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain . In 2018 he became world champion with the French national team in Russia .
Career

Kimpembe, the son of a Haitian mother and a Congolese father, started his career with AS Eragny FC in 2002 and joined the Paris Saint-Germain youth team in 2005 . There he was used from 2013 for the second team that played in the fourth-class CFA .
On October 17, 2014 Kimpembe made his debut in the 3-1 away win against RC Lens in Ligue 1 when he came on for Thiago Motta in the 75th minute . With the club he won the championship as well as the national cup , league cup and supercup in the season as part of the squad . In the 2015/16 season Kimpembe made six league appearances and again won the championship and all national cups with Paris. In the 2016/17 season he became a permanent fixture of the team and played 19 times in Ligue 1, which Paris finished as runner-up behind AS Monaco . On 14 February 2017 debuted Kimpembe the 4: 0 home win in the second round -Hinspiel against FC Barcelona in the Champions League . He lost the second leg with his team 6-1 and was eliminated, with Kimpembe sitting on the bench for the full time. At the end of the season he won all national cup competitions with Paris again. Kimpembe has been a regular in Paris central defense since the 2017/18 season. In the Champions League, he and his team failed again in the round of 16 that season , this time to Real Madrid . With Paris, Kimpembe has since won numerous other national titles. In the 2019/20 season he and his team reached the final of the Champions League, but were defeated 0-1 by Bayern Munich .
His contract with PSG runs until 2024.
National team
Kimpembe played a friendly match for the Congolese U21 national team on October 12, 2014 when they lost 3-0 to Austria in Bad Erlach . From March to June 2015, he was used in seven games for the U20 selection of the French association . With her Kimpembe won the Toulon tournament in early June 2015 .
