Keilor Antonio Navas Gamboa (born December 15, 1986 in San Isidro de El General , San José ) is a Costa Rican soccer goalkeeper . He has played for Paris Saint-Germain since the beginning of September 2019 and for the Costa Rican national team since 2008 .

Career

Navas played in his youth exclusively for CD Saprissa from San Juan de Tibás and moved up to the first division team in 2005 , with which he won the championship in his premiere season, which the team was able to repeat in the following season . In the 2007/08 season he won both the "Invierno Scotiabank" championship in 2007 and the "Verano Scotiabank" championship in 2008 with his club . After the departure of Gustavo Munúa , he was promoted to a regular player for the 2013/14 season , played 37 league games and was named the best goalkeeper in the league at the end of the season .

For the 2014/15 season , Navas moved to Real Madrid . He signed a six-year contract until June 30, 2020. With the Madrilenians, he was initially only reservist behind club icon Iker Casillas . After the farewell to Casillas and the failed transfer of David de Gea , Navas also advanced to the goalkeeper at Real Madrid and asserted himself with good performances.
