Juan Bernat Velasco (born March 1, 1993 in Cullera ) is a Spanish football player . He is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain .

Valencia CF
Bernat was born in Cullera , a small town in the Valencian Community . He started in the youth department of FC Valencia playing football. At the age of 17 he made his debut in the second team, even Mestalla called, in the fourth-rate Tercera División and helped promotion to the Segunda División B . In preparation for the 2011/12 season, he trained with the first team and shortly thereafter signed a professional contract until 2015.
On August 27, 2011, Bernat made his debut in the Primera División in a 4-3 victory over Racing Santander . In his first professional season he was - still as a player of the second team - used in seven league games and one cup game . He also made his first international appearances in the Europa League in early 2012 with two appearances against Stoke City and PSV Eindhoven .
In the 2012/13 season he played twelve league games; he also scored his first goal in the fourth round of the Copa del Rey . After he had previously mostly been used in midfield, he made his breakthrough as a left full-back in the 2013/14 season . With 32 league appearances (one goal) and 13 games (one goal) in the Europa League, he became a regular in this position. With his team he failed in the European Cup only in the semi-finals at Sevilla FC .
FC Bayern Munich
In the summer of 2014, he was signed by the German record champions FC Bayern Munich , who provided the junior national player with a contract valid until June 30, 2019. He played his first competitive game on August 13, 2014 in the 2-0 defeat against Borussia Dortmund in the game for the DFL Supercup . In the Bundesliga, he made his debut on August 22, 2014 (1st matchday) in a 2-1 home win against VfL Wolfsburg . According to Uli Hoeneß , his appearance in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-finals on April 3, 2018 against FC Sevilla, in which he had conceded a goal, led the club to part with Bernat on the same day. Paris Saint-Germain
Bernat moved to the French first division club Paris Saint-Germain on August 31, 2018 , with whom he signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2021. On September 14, he made his debut for the reigning champion, trained by Thomas Tuchel since the beginning of the 2018/19 season, in a 4-0 win over Saint-Étienne .
National team
Bernat went through all the Spanish youth national teams from the U-16 selection. In 2010 he took part in the U-17 European Championship in Liechtenstein and only failed with the national team in the final with 1: 2 against the national team from England .
In 2012 he won the U-19 European Championship with the team , where he contributed with three tournament games. With the U-20 selection, he took part in the U-20 World Cup in Turkey in 2013 , but failed in the quarter-finals in the selection of Uruguay .
On February 5, 2013, Bernat made his debut in the U-21 national team in the game against the national team of Belgium . Also in the qualification for the U-21 European Championship in 2015 , he was repeatedly in action.
On October 12, 2014 he made his debut for the senior national team in the qualifier for the 2016 European Championship against the national team of Luxembourg and scored in the 88th minute to make it 4-0.
