Hartmut Holzhey
Hartmut Holzhey (born November 24, 1957 in Saalfeld ) was a non-party district administrator in the Thuringian district of Saalfeld-Rudolstadt from 2012 to 2014 .
Holzhey trained as a zoo technician and then graduated as an agricultural engineer . He worked as shift supervisor, reproduction manager and animal production manager in the LPG "Drognitzer Höhe" in Drognitz and "Steinerne Heide" in Großgeschwenda . After the fall of the Berlin Wall he was the operations manager of Walter Transporte and from 1993 managing partner of his own company Loquitz Trans GmbH in Koenitz .
Holzhey appeared with projects such as the economic initiative "Saalfelder Denkanstoß" to improve the transport infrastructure or the reservoir initiative to improve the infrastructure, especially around the Hohenwarte reservoir , for example with the proposal to rebuild the bridge at the Linkenmühle .
In the 2012 district elections, Holzhey, who belonged to the SED / PDS from 1978 to 1991 and has since been non-party, ran against the SPD candidate Marion Philipp . He prevailed against the then incumbent with 59% of the vote.
Holzley resigned from his position as district administrator on September 30, 2014 due to a sudden hearing loss.
Private
Holzhey grew up in the Saalfeld district of Remschütz with twelve siblings. He did his military service from 1976 to 1978. Today he is married to a second marriage and has four children.
