Abdou-Lakhad Diallo (born May 4, 1996 in Tours ) is a French football player . He is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain and is a young French national player.

Career

society

The Senegalese-born defender Diallo started playing football in 2002 at Saint-Herblain OC . Via the stations Grand-Font FC , AS Angoulême Charente 92 (renamed Angoulême Charente FC in 2005 ), he finally came to FC Tours in 2007 . In 2009 he went to US Chambray-lès-Tours and joined AS Monaco in July 2011 , for which he made his first Ligue 1 games in 2014 . He spent the 2015/16 season on loan in Belgium with SV Zulte Waregem , returned to Monaco for the 2016/17 season and became French champions with the team.

In July 2017 he switched to the German Bundesliga club 1. FSV Mainz 05 . On the third match day of the 2017/18 season , he scored his first goal for Mainz in a 3-1 home win against Bayer 04 Leverkusen . His contract ran until 2022.

For the season 2018/19 changed Diallo to Borussia Dortmund . He signed a contract that ran until June 30, 2023. From the start of the season, the defender was part of the regular line-up and made 38 appearances (1 goal) for the club across all competitions. At the end of the season he won the runner-up with BVB.

For the season 2019/20 to Diallo joined Paris Saint-Germain , where he received a valid until June 2024 contract. At the beginning of August 2019, he and his new club won the national Supercup after a 2-1 win over the Cup winners Rennes .

National team

Diallo has been a selection player for the French youth and junior national teams since his first game for the U16s in 2011. With the U19 he took part in the European Championship 2015 and was eliminated with the team in the semi-finals.

He is the team captain of the U21s .
