Mitchel Bakker (born June 20, 2000 in Purmerend , the Netherlands ) is a Dutch football player . He is under contract with Paris Saint-Germain in France and is a young Dutch national player.

Career

society

After Mitchel Bakker first joined FC Purmerend , he was accepted into the youth academy of Ajax Amsterdam . In September 2016 he received a contract with Ajax that ran until June 30, 2019. Until 2019, he was used for both the second team and the A-youth (U19) of the Dutch record champions; for the second team Bakker played in 37 point games.

In July 2019, the defender moved to Paris Saint-Germain and signed a contract that runs until 2023. He made his debut on February 15, 2020 against SC Amiens .

National team

Bakker played for the Dutch U15 , the U16 and took part with the U17 in the 2017 European Championship in Croatia , in which the Dutch reached the quarter-finals. Bakker was used in all games. For this age group he played in 14 games. After seven games for the U18s , he has played for the Dutch U19s since September 2018 and has made seven appearances for this age group. He and his team missed qualification for the 2019 European Championship .
