The Uruguayan U-20 national soccer team is a national team of Uruguayan soccer players. It is subject to the Asociación Uruguaya de Fútbol and represents it internationally at the U-20 level , for example in friendly matches against the teams of other national associations or at the U-20 South American Championship and the U-20 World Championship .

The team achieved their best result at a world championship in 1997 and 2013 when they became vice world champions.

The team was also eight times South American champions ( 1954 , 1958 , 1964 , 1975 , 1977 , 1979 , 1981 and 2017 ).
