The XXIII. The 2007 U-20 South American Football Championship took place in Paraguay from January 7, 2007 to January 28, 2007 .

The game was played in two groups, followed by a final phase, also in group mode. The matches to determine the tournament winner in the preliminary round were held in the cities of Ciudad del Este in the Estadio Antonio Oddone Sarubbi and Pedro Juan Caballero in the Estadio Río Parapití . In the final round, the Estadio Defensores del Chaco in Asunción and the Estadio Feliciano Cáceres in Luque served as venues. The national teams of Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru and Uruguay took part in the tournamentand Venezuela's part. Brazil emerged victorious from the event . Places two to four went to the national teams from Argentina , Uruguay and Chile .
