The XXI. The 2003 U-20 South American Football Championship took place in Uruguay from January 4, 2003 to January 28, 2003 .

The matches to determine the tournament winner were held in the cities of Montevideo , Maldonado and Colonia . Paysandú may also have served as an alternative venue.
